On Friday, Oct. 25, chemistry teacher John Kretsos accepted his Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. This evening, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. on WTTW Channel 11, the awards show will be broadcast to all of Chicago.
The television program features Kretsos delivering his inspiring speech and accepting the Golden Apple, as well as interviews from students and footage of him in the classroom.
If you miss the show tonight, it will also run on Friday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Niles North will be hosting a viewing party for the staff and students. The date is to be determined, but it will be in the very near future.
Congratulations again to Kretsos for winning this award and representing Niles North so admirably throughout the process.
