The Association of Jewish Students will be constructing a Sukkah in the Cafeteria Courtyard on October 17 to celebrate the festival of Sukkot.

A Sukkah is a temporary hut constructed for use during the week-long Jewish festival of Sukkot. It is often well decorated with autumnal, harvest or Judaic themes, and topped with branches. As it is a tradition to eat in the Sukkah, it will be open during all lunch periods.

“Please feel free to come and eat in the Sukkah and see what it is all about!” Special Education teacher and club sponsor Anne Zavell said.

The Association of Jewish Students is set on educating fellow students about holidays, traditions and history, and welcome students of all backgrounds.
