Attention all freshmen, Niles North kicks off the annual activities fair on Aug 27, 2015 during all lunch periods, where freshmen are welcome to explore clubs and meet new people. All organizations will have members of the different clubs welcoming and sharing what their club is about.
During the fair, many clubs aim to display things that their club has created and/or does during the meetings. Clubs are located at booths in the commons and the main gym. People representing clubs strive to get more people involved in the school community through a certain club.
The school hosts this event every year in hopes to bring together the student body even more. Clubs can also promote school spirit and model behavior. Kids who are involved in extracurricular activities are known to do better in school and possess leadership.
Senior Tahir Razzaq expresses how getting involved can open so many doors, “Niles North is such a great place to explore new opportunities because there is so much to do. When I was a freshman, I wish I took the advantages.”
Come Thursday during all lunch periods in the new courtyard to get more involved and make new friends with the similar interests!
