Come gather at Niles North’s first production of the year, Billboard. Billboard is a play about a recent college graduate, Andy, who saw an opportunity to tattoo a corporate logo on his forehead for profit due to the bills he has to pay. Throughout the play he realizes the tragic, yet funny, consequences of his decision.
“Billboard is a Director’s Circle show and is really different from any other of the shows we do. It is a selective show and casts 3-4 main actors. The crew began to work two weeks before school started and will be presented the first week of school,” said crew member Noam Ron. “Everyone in the cast and crew became really close in a very short amount of time. The show itself is both comedic and dramatic as it touches on themes that relate to the objectification of the human body and art versus capitalism.”
Billboard will be located in the black box theater this weekend on Aug 14 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Saturday, Aug 15 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Freshman are permitted free admission for this show with an ID. General admission will be $10 and can be purchased at the box office or www.nntheatre.com.
