On March 16, our very own Video Production Club was featured nationally on High School Cube, otherwise known as The Cube. The Cube is an online broadcasting service for high schools to broadcast their sport-related events. Our Video Production club has taken the viewers experience beyond high school level.
In an interview with Mr. Henderson, the sponsor of Video Production Club, he stated that the club started with 3 members and today there’s more than 30 students involved. Fans and viewers include current students, alumni, and staff of Niles North and the community.
Some of the club’s highlights that Mr. Henderson mentioned include, “3-4 cameras on the field/court, half time produced content by students showcasing what Niles North High School and D219 has to offer,” he said.
The club has broadcasted over 175 events in two and half years, had over 1200 live views for Alyssa Brand College signing due to proper marketing, and 531 followers on The Cube.
As our athletic department gets ready to install a new scoreboard on the Chuck Pos Stadium, the main field, our video production club is getting ready to have the live broadcast available to the fans attending the events through the LCD panel on the score board. Now, that’s a college fan experience!
Video Production Club won’t stop there, they also will be adding a booth camera to feature the broadcasters.
