The only time it’s acceptable to be “sad” is if you’re a part of S.A.D.D., a club where, despite the name, the fun never ends.
S.A.D.D. stands for Students Against Destructive Decisions, and it’s a club about making the right decisions and promoting our students to be safe and alert. Not only does this club look good on your resume, but you also get to meet tons of new friends.
“High school is a very important time and people have different pressures, changes and stress and good decision making is really important,” sponsors Alison Kashbee and Ayesha Qudrat said.
Each month, S.A.D.D. has different themes including drug, alcohol and bullying awareness. They also have bake sales and fun contests to promote awareness.
Why should you join S.A.D.D.? You should join because it’s fun, you meet new people, have new ideas, get involved and learn to make a difference.
The first club meeting is on Wednesday, August 27 in student services. We hope to see you all there!
