Niles North, West and Central High Schools called home and declared on their websites that their schools will be closed on Monday, January 6, and Tuesday, January 7, due to inclement weather. All school activities will be cancelled that day.
The National Weather Service is warning about a heavy snow for the Chicago area through Sunday evening, with temperatures dropping to low levels by Monday. It is predicted by the Weather Channel that the temperatures will be dropping as low as -15 degrees with a winds of 23 mph.
