The Niles Township High School District 219 Board of Education approved new collective bargaining agreements with the Niles Township Federation of Teachers (NTFT) and Niles Township Support Staff (NTSS) at its September 24 meeting.
The membership of both unions discussed, then voted to ratify the contract terms at meetings on Thursday, Sept. 20. Teachers and support staff had been working without contracts since the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
Details of the new contracts will be published once final language is adopted by all parties.
