Senior finals at Niles North will take place May 11–14 during regular class periods. Finals for Fine Arts, World Languages, Math, and English are on May 11–12. Science, Social Studies, ECSB, and AVID finals are on May 13–14.
After May 14, seniors do not have regular classes, but they are still required to come in on specific days. May 15 is for make-up exams and scheduled senior activities. This is also when students should take any finals they miss due to AP exams.
Seniors are required to return again on May 18 for additional senior activities. These days are not optional and attendance is expected. Graduation is on May 19.
The main point of confusion is that even though finals end on May 14, seniors are not finished with their school responsibilities. May 15 and May 18 are both required attendance days leading up to graduation. Missing those days without approval will count the same as any other absence.
Students with scheduling conflicts or questions about make-up exams are expected to coordinate with their teachers or administrators in advance.
