Gearing up for greatness, Niles North’s softball season starts

As the Spring season approaches, so do spring sports.

Softball season has officially started, and the first game will be held on Mar. 12 here at Niles North. The game will be at 4:45 pm against Rolling Meadows. The full schedule can be found here.

After working hard in preseason conditioning, the team is ready to get on the field and finally play a game. This season will be the first year the new fields are used, after undergoing a complete renovation last year.

“I’m excited to spend more time with the team and for a successful season on our new home field, the games should be fun,” sophomore Vivian Trupia said. “I also want to improve my skills as a softball player and improve our team’s bonds.”

With a roster consisting of mostly freshmen and sophomores, the team has a lot to look forward to in the next few years as they get the chance to grow together and build a stronger relationship.

“I’m excited to continue to continue making more memories and improve as a team together and get more dubs”, sophomore Lety Martin said.

After all the training and hard work the team has shown, the team asks their peers to go out and give them your support!
