Constitutional Day is September 17 and commemorates the ratification of the US Constitution that occurred on this day in 1787.
The Constitution is known as a “living document” because it adapts as our culture, values, and concerns as Americans change. If it was not for this document’s ratification, we would not have many of the civil liberties we enjoy today.
So, throughout today, be aware of this gift when you find yourself or your neighbors able to practice any religion, speak any opinion, or exercise any number of liberties we have been given.
