On Saturday September 6, our football team played Niles West in the annual Skokie  Skirmish.

After being down, the Vikings came out big this weekend with a 48-37  win over the Wolves.  Craig “Dutch” Dawkins was a huge factor in this win, with him running for 278 yards on 34 carries and four rushing touchdowns. He also had a 90 yard kickoff return (368 total yards).

After being down 31-19 at the half, our defense held the Wolves to only 6 points in the second half. Tony Granato threw a 40 yard touchdown pass to  Yomade Adefesso to bring the Vikings within five points.

The Wolves scored another touchdown making it 37-26, but that would be the last time they scored in the game.

Late in the fourth, our Vikings came charging back with 2 touchdowns (one with a two-point conversion) and an interception. Dawkins scored both of those touchdowns.

The trophy is finally back where it belongs. Check out this gallery of pictures from the game, courtesy of Adam Rubinberg.
