The time has come to say goodbye to Bella, the Cullens and of course the hot teenage guys that can transform into wolves.
The epic finale, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, was by far the best of all the Twilight movies. From the moment Bella (Kristen Stewart) opened her red vampire eyes to the shocking new ending the director added, the final installment to the Twilight saga was phenomenal. This fifth and final movie used all 156 minutes to create another world for viewers.
In the previous movie, Bella gave birth to a half-human half-vampire baby, Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), and had just recovered from Edward’s (Robert Pattison) life-changing bite. There’s tension between Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and the werewolf pack. With the conflict in the pack, Edward and Jacob had to team up or at least stop fighting so that they could save their loved ones.
Breaking Dawn- Part 2 starts off with the viewers seeing the world through Bella’s eyes. Since vampire sight is really sharp and vivid, it gives the movie a utopian vibe.
The movie has plenty of romance and action which is what hooked most of its teen fans. This installment is far more entertaining to watch since Bella can now let loose and have fun with her new vampire abilities. I also enjoyed the witty humor amongst the vampires.
The action part of this movie was taken to another level. It went from hunting mountain lions to ripping apart centuries-old vampire rulers led by Aro (Michael Sheen) and Jane (Dakota Fanning) who have no problem doing their own dirty work.
The extremely impressive ending to the phenomenal Twilight saga was a shocker for everyone– even those who read the books. Director Bill Condor made some serious revisions to the story line’s ending. Honestly, I think it made the movie much better. The main plot was still there, but the heart-stopping twist that he threw at his viewers was unbelievable. It was the last thing anyone expected to happen and it caught many people by surprise.
The final movie of the series is definitely the best since it tied the entire storyline together. The Twi-hards couldn’t ask for a better conclusion to their beloved series, the Twilight saga.
As sad as it was to end the Twilight series, Stephenie Meyer’s work in Hollywood is far from over. Her novel The Host will also be making an appearance on the big screen in the spring. She went from witty vampire romance to unknown entities that use human bodies as their vessels to live, but don’t worry, you supernatural romantics– this new trilogy will also have a love story in the midst of all the extra-terrestrial drama.
