Niles North High School will be hosting a spectacular show filled with the mind-blowing talent and personality of none other than Chicago’s very own, Bill Cook. This family-friendly show will be showcased for one night only on Saturday, December 5 at 7 p.m. in Niles North High School’s auditorium. Bill Cook’s performance is a fundraiser for Take One, Niles North’s advanced vocal jazz ensemble that was invited to perform as a headliner for the Puerto Vallarta Invitational Jazz Festival held in February 2016.
Bill Cook is an award-winning magician who combines personality, musicality, and innovative sleight of hand. His magic has been seen on every major television network including ABC, CBS, NBC, SYFY, The CW Network, and Showtime. He is a three-time recipient of the Lance Burton Award of Excellence, a Winner and People’s Choice Award Winner of the Chicago Magic Competition and Featured Performer at the World Famous Magic Castle. He has been called “Someone You Should Know” by CBS 2 Chicago’s Harry Porterfield. Other media appearances include Penn & Teller’s Fool Us!, Extra! With Mario Lopez, and more.
“The magic show this Saturday is something Niles North has never seen before. It’s going to be a very unique show that not only goes to a great cause, but something that audiences definitely won’t want to miss,” senior Nikhar Merchant said.
“To see Bill Cook for only $10 opposed to $100 at one of his Las Vegas or Los Angeles shows is a bargain. It’ll be a night full of entertainment that the whole family will enjoy,” junior Justin Dela Cruz said.
Tickets will be sold during all lunch periods and at the door for $10. For more information, contact Choral/Vocal Jazz Director Daniel Gregerman at (847) 626-2115 to find out more information on making a donation or sponsoring a student for the festival.
