This Wednesday, North Star News is going to be hosting a bake sale in the concessions starting 2nd period. Their theme will be sticked goods. This new take on selling food has never been more creative. All of their goods will incorporate some sort of stick.
Here are some choices you may want on your stick:
The bake sale ranges from exotic to basic.
- Ada Torres is bringing in exotic fruits that hail from the asian countries such as China, Japan, Thailand, etc.. Torres will be bringing starfruit and dragonfruit. This will an interesting purchase since it’ll be the first time exotic fruit will be vendors in Niles North High School.
- Beatrize Stephen-Pons, senior, will be also be bringing in some familiar taste into the scene. Fruit Kabobs! This will be an assortment of fruits on a stick for $1. What a deal!
- Justin Im will be bringing sushi. A fan favorite that no one can resist
- Olivia Meyers will be bringing homemade muffins. She is well known for her delicious baking.
- Jazmyn Trinos will be bringing chocolate muffins.
- Sobia Mujtaba will bring caramel apples.
- Tahir Razzaq will be bringing chocolate chip waffles on a stick with a side of whip cream.
- Ben Lipka, junior, will be bringing cake pops.
- Kate Aanuerdue, sophomore, will being chocolate covered pretzels.
- Mr. Silverberg will be bringing peanut butter and jelly on stick.
- Mr. Mormolstien will be bringing LIPS on a stick. Get it, lipstick!
“What I love about our bake sale is how wacky it is and how it breaks the conventions of average break sales. Not only do we have sweet things like cupcakes on a stick but we also have sushi on a stick.” said Stephen-Pons, North Star’s Editor-in-Chief.
As an added bonus, anybody who spends more than 5 dollars will be able to take a picture with the Homecoming Queen, Torres.
So bring your money and empty stomach! Let the bake sale begin!
