The highly anticipated game of the year left vikings on the edge of fear. In an intense, nail biter of a game, the Varsity football team fell to the visiting of the Lake Forest Scouts. The game ended with a victory for the Scouts, 44-22.
Within the first ten minutes, the vikings scored a touchdown, but later fell to what was expected of them. In the end it was Lake Forest with the victory.
Even with their loss, the vikings played an outstanding game. They worked hard and their team chemistry proved that this loss is an other opportunity to stand up and fight back.
“For the next game we have to improve on our physicality and working as a team, everyone has to do their own job and that way we will get the job done against our rivals this week,” senior and defender Thomas Gaul said.
“We plan on practicing and getting better everyday and staying positive and working together as a team. The best part of this season is that we all support one and another and we all have come along way since freshmen year,” senior Matt Naranjo said.
The next heated battle for the vikings is against the Niles West Wolves. The Skokie Skirmish will take place at the Niles West football field on Sept. 12, 2015 at 1 p.m..
