This year, Skokie’s Spring Greening will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Niles North High School from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Skokie’s Spring Greening is an annual community fair for residents to promote green living, featuring a trade show of green and sustainable products and services, workshops on green lifestyle choices, entertainment for all ages, and unique opportunities to recycle household items.
Students have gotten behind this effort to promote green living. Senior Quynh Nguyen said, “I think this event will really teach people in the community the importance of protecting the environment with the choices we make. It will only lead to positive results.”
The event is hosted as a collaborative effort of the Skokie Park District, Niles Township High School District 219, Skokie Chamber of Commerce, Village of Skokie, Skokie Public Library, and many volunteers.
The first Spring Greening event held in 2011 was a great success and has continued to be so for the past three years.
Come stop by Niles North on April 6th to participate in this annual event!
