On Sunday, March 9, CROSO, this year’s charity for Dance Marathon, will be hosting its first ever Zumbathon at Niles North from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Zumba is an aerobic fitness program where you dance the calories away! Five professional Zumba instructors will be guiding the participants for donations of $25 for adults and $10 for students. The instructors include Becca Russo, Jennifer Dahl, Tayne Murphy, Sharon Aguilera, and Angel Casas.
To reserve a spot on this day, go to www.croso.org and register through the link on the home page. Participants will also be able to register on the day of the event. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes to dance in and a water bottle if you’d like. Some refreshments will be provided by CROSO at the Zumbathon
“I’m excited for CROSO’s Zumbathon event because it is a great way to get in shape while having fun and doing something worthwhile” said senior Dance Marathon executive Maggie Quane.
CROSO is Dance Marathon’s charity of the year and is dedicated to funding scholarships for Ugandan street children to go to college. To learn more about the charity and how to Zumba, come to the main gym at Niles North on Sunday. See you there!
