What is your name and grade level? My name is Gracie Revilla, and I am a junior.
What activities are you involved in? Through school, I am involved in HOSA, where I just qualified for state, the Auroris Dance Company as a captain and choreographer, Spanish Honors Society, and also a competitive dance team outside of school.
What is your favorite part of dancing? My favorite part of dancing is being able to express myself and my emotions through it. I also really enjoy spending time with the other dancers and getting to be a part of a community.
What is a lesson you’ve learned from dancing for so long? Through dance, I have learned to be patient with myself. I see this type of patience when I am learning something new and understand that it might take time to do it well. I’ve also learned to take time for myself.
Who sparked your interest in dance? I don’t remember anything specifically sparking my interest in dance. Since I was young, I’ve always just been interested and really into it. It’s something I’ve always liked to do.
What is one of your unpopular opinions? My unpopular opinion is that I don’t like the show Gossip Girl. I think it is overrated and honestly, boring.
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to? My favorite place I’ve traveled to is definitely Cancun. I love the weather, the beautiful beaches, and the activities I get to do there.
What is one of your weird talents? My weirdest talent is that I can wiggle my ears.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? I would like to be able to teleport because I don’t like to drive, and with it, I wouldn’t have to. Being able to teleport would also let me travel anywhere and at any time.
What is one of your biggest pet peeves? I really don’t like loud chewers. It really annoys me.
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? I would probably eat pasta because you can mix it with so many different foods or sauces; I would never get bored.
