On Friday, May 19, North Star News will distribute their 2017 Senior Issue to the Niles North community. The Senior Issue, an issue highlighting the class of 2017 as well as important news from the year, has been in development for a number of months.

The annual Senior Issue contains everything from pieces on outstanding students and the teacher of the year to news, feature, opinion, and sports stories. The issue also has a section known as “Senior Moments” in which the graduating class details the defining moments of their high school careers. Finally, the issue contains superlatives, awards that detail some of the qualities of the graduating class.

“The Senior Issue is our yearly publication where we highlight this year in events with stories, graphics, and the favorite, senior superlatives. We highlight students who have made big accomplishments in and out of school,” Kate Aanerud, next years Editor in Chief of North Star News, said.

The Senior Issue will be distributed this Friday from 7:30 to 8 a.m. There will be stations at the main entrance and the bus entrance. Food and beverages will be served. Make sure to stop by and grab a 2017 Senior Issue!
