On March 3, 2016, the Skokie Public Library will be hosting an art exhibit reception for the District 219 Visual Arts Department.
The exhibit will feature artwork created by Niles North and Niles West students. The artwork includes 50 framed pieces, such as paintings, drawings, and photos, and 20-30 ceramic pieces from both schools.
“The district art show brings Niles North and Niles West visual arts departments together in a dynamic display of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, graphic design, ceramics, and mixed media,” Amy Zwikel, Niles North art teacher, said.
“It makes me feel good knowing my work is out there for other people to see,” Jonny Martinez-Goldberg, junior, said. “Other people can appreciate my photography and give their personal opinions about it.”
The exhibit is free and will be on display at the library from March 1 until April 8, 2016 in the gallery room.
