The state of Illinois has a primary opposed to the caucasus other states have. Caucasus deal with the election on a local level while a primary is a statewide election. Illinois’ primary election will take place on March 15.

To be eligible for the primary, you must register 27 days before the election, by Feb. 17. Registration can be done through mail or in person at a local school, public library, village office, and a number of other places. Several identification papers are required to register, including a voter-registration form, a driver’s license, an ID card, or bank statements.
