Juniors declared victory at the Powderpuff game winning 8-6 against the seniors.
Junior Kienya Jones gained the crowd support in the first quarter by scoring two touchdowns for a score of eight points.
The next two quarters consisted of neither team scoring, which caused the senior to lose hope and the juniors to begin celebrating. The momentum changed when the football was thrown to senior Taylor Louis close enough to the end zone for her to score a touchdown in the fourth quarter. That caused hope to rise on the senior’s side, but they were not able to score another touchdown with only 20 seconds left on the clock. At the end, the juniors claimed victory.
Both teams played very competitively. The night ended with good sportsmanship and celebration for both classes. “The game is over. I don’t really care anymore. I’m not mad it’s just a game,” senior Sylvia Ho said.
