What’s your name and grade? I’m Megan Artajo and I’m a senior.

What’s your favorite memory from your senior year? Homecoming, because that’s where I met my present boyfriend. Also, I liked going to the cadaver lab and being able to dissect organs.

How did you get into softball? My mom played and she was my coach, so playing softball kind of makes me feel closer to her.

What’s your favorite part about playing on the softball team? I love knowing people who have the same interests as me and seeing how different we are.

What advice would you give to your freshman self? I would tell myself to talk to more people and put in the effort to keep those friends.

What’s something about you that most people don’t know? I like playing video games.

What’s your favorite restaurant and why? I love the Cheesecake Factory; their entire menu is great but I especially like all of their cheesecakes.

If you could meet anyone from the past, who would it be and why? I’d like to meet the indigenous people before colonization. They must have been resourceful since they relied on nature for everything and I would have liked to learn from them.

What’s a struggle you had to overcome? I think just not worrying about other people’s opinions; I used to see myself as the opinions of others but now I don’t.

What would you tell any incoming freshmen? I would tell them to talk to people and branch out. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it!
