What’s your name and department? Sara Klos, English director and teacher.
What’s your favorite thing about your job? The people. I get to interact with students across the building beyond my classroom, and a lot of staff.
Have you worked anywhere else? If so, where? Yes, Elmwood Park High School and Saint Charles East.
What’s your favorite comfort food? Cucumbers and yellow carrots. Seriously, if I’m really stressed, probably pie.
One favorite memory from Niles North? I liked when we used the administrators would barbeque for teachers during Teacher Appreciation Day.
Who motivates/inspires you the most? Victoria Beckham. She runs a company and has a treadmill desk.
What colleges/universities have you attended? University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
What’s an interesting fact about yourself that not many people know? Every day, I wake up at 4:45 am to work out.
How do you spend your free time? With my three kids. I also like shopping, cooking and organizing.
Where’s your favorite place to go shopping? Nordstrom.
How do you choose your outfit every day? Every Sunday I look at the upcoming week as a whole. I don’t want to repeat types of looks, so if I’m wearing a pencil skirt on one day, I’m not going to wear one the next day.
What’s your favorite pair of heels? I really like these light blue suede heels, but I just got these new pink patent leather heels and I like those a lot.
What’s your best advice for students? You should find what makes you happy and do that.
