What is a Homecoming weekend without a parade, football game and dance? At Niles North the tradition is that we make Homecoming unforgettable each year. The highlight of all the Homecoming hoopla, however, is the crowning of the king and queen. The coronation ties the whole Homecoming experience together.
So, who gets on the court? The names of all seniors were put into a single Google doc that served as a ballot in which seniors could vote for members of the Homecoming court. The six girls and six boys with the most votes were selected to be on the court.
The six girls selected were: Alexandra Vidican, Vi-Vien Bui, Emma Decker, Lindsay Pietz, Karoline Ross and Dianne Louise Maglaque.
The six boys picked were: Sabir Ahamed, Stephen Jan, Danny Joseph, Giorgos Losoff, Justin Suh and Avery Wells.
This year’s pairs are: Karoline Ross and Sabir Ahamed, Emma Decker and Giorgos Losoff, Vi-vien Bui and Stephen Jan, Alexandra Vidican and Avery Wells, Lindsay Pietz and Danny Joseph, and Dianne Louise Maglaque and Justin Suh.
The senior class voted again on Sept. 18 and 19 to pick the king and and queen. The lucky winners — announced by 2012 Teacher of the Year Renee Scott during the Homecoming pep assembly on Friday — were Sabir Ahamed and Kari Ross.
