Celebrate a spooky Halloween on thursday
With Halloween coming up in a few days, it is important for students to have fun during the school day within respectable limits. Throughout the school hours, students may not wear masks or full face paint, no props/costumes that represent weapons or acts of violence, no costumes that represent drugs or alcohol, no bare midriffs or revealing clothing, no costumes misappropriating other races, cultures, religions, or genders, and hats are only allowed as part of your full costume.
The faculty and staff of Niles North are permitted to modify or ask you to change your costume if it is too distracting or causes interference with learning as well as if it is a violation to the dress code policy. If you are unsure if your costume is school appropriate, you may stop by the Deans’ office for feedback.
“I’m going to put on my riding clothes because it’s an easy costume since I already have all of the items for the costume so I don’t need to go out and buy anything.” said Niles North Sophomore Samantha Hayes.
Halloween is only celebrated once a year so it is important to have fun and to collect as much free candy as you can!
