With homecoming just around the corner many are thriving to get a good taste of delight. Without having a good meal, homecoming is just blur. Homecoming is not just dancing and having a good time, it is also about having a filling up your stomach up and groove on.

1) Gus Gus Skokie

Located on the corner of Oakton and Crawford, this Mediterranean will twist your tounge and you will experience a whole new level of deliciousness. It is great place to go to get something to eat quickly and the prices are felxible. Their most well known dish is the swarma sandwich. Its filled with salad, a bit of hummus, and giardinera. The Sandwich itself is wrapped up in a large, thin pita with a small side of olives.

2) Blaze Pizza 

If you are a person who loves pizza, Blaze Pizza is the way to go. Located in Old Orchard Mall, Blaze pizza serves as one of students top choices to go eat. You can customize your own pizza and add as many topping as you want for five dollars (plus tax). In addition, Blaze Pizza is right next to Niles North, so eat and dance all night with a full stomach.

3) Dengeos

Greek food is known for its crisp and ripe foods and Dengeos is the place to go for the best Greek food. Dengeos is a Greek restaurant located on Main St. and it serves gyros, barbecue chicken, salads & other Greek favorites.

4) Kabul House

Kabul House is a Skokie gem. Kabul House is the perfect place to be introduced to and get hooked on Afghani cuisine. Fan favorites include tender chicken kabobs, Bulanee, and Kabulu Palau. It is a lavishing place to eat before homecoming.

5) Wholly Frijoles

One of the best Mexican cuisines in town, Wholly Frijoles serves a refreshing and spicy taste that will blow you mind. Well known for their chips and salsa, this restaurant is a must go before or after homecoming. The resturanut makes you feel as if you are in Mexico with dim lights and native Mexican flowers.

“Homcoming is nothing without a good stomach,” Ada Torres said.

Many people want homecoming to go well and having dinner at one these restaurants will make your night.
