With spirit week coming to an end and Homecoming just around the corner, Niles North is ready to crown its 2013 Homecoming royalty.

Student Activities director Caroline Benjamin sent out an email asking each senior student to nominate one girl and one boy for the court.

After the votes were counted, the twelve students were announced Sunday, Oct. 6. Voting took place online from Monday Oct. 7 to Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The nominated girls include: Nicole Cadavillo, Leila Pekmez, Maggie Quane, Alondra Robledo, Jessica Saliba, and Zel Velarde.

The nominated boys include:  Erik Altmayer, Armando Gomez, Jacob Kaufman, Ivan Korkes, Logan Kost, and John Maloul.

Friday, Oct. 11, Teacher of the Year Deborah Meyer will announce Homecoming king and queen during the pep assembly.
