Spread the love this Valentine’s Day with chocolate cake pops coated with creamy white chocolate glaze. If you find yourself struggling over what to get your valentine this year, don’t panic– cake pops are a great giveaway! They make Valentine’s Day gift giving much more personal knowing that you made them yourself. Just don’t forget to make them with love! (:
If you plan on making these cake pops more often, I recommend buying a cake pop maker to speed up the baking process. I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, but you should be able to find them wherever you get your baking supplies.

- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup minus 2 tbsp flour

- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- a pinch of salt
- Chocolate frosting
- Coating of your choice (I recommend chocolate!)
- Lollipop sticks
Directions for Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celcius
- In a bowl, beat the egg, add the oil and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, sift the dry ingredients ( flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda, salt)

- Pour into cake mold of your choice
- Bake for 20-25 mins. Test with a toothpick. Cool the cake and remove from cake mold.
- After cake has cooled, crumple it up into large bowl
- Gradually mix cake and chocolate frosting until a play-dough consistency is created
- Mold cake into ball shapes and place on cooking tray or plate of choice
- Place sticks in the bottom of each cake ball
- Put tray in freezer until cake has hardened
Directions for Frosting
- Choose the chocolate of your choice
- Melt chocolate in microwave for 1 min 30 sec.
- Mix and reheat for 45 sec to 1 min. (until chocolate is smooth)
- Allow to cool for about a minute
- Dip cake in chocolate

I was looking to lose some weight but still wanted to impress the Junior gals. Do you know roughly how many calories are in these divine pastries?

I read this article while I was hungry and the only sweet thing I had in my house was stale cinnamon rolls. YUCK! Can you guys develop a feature like in Willy Wonka where readers can reach into the screen and pluck out a delectable cake pop?
