On Nov.17, singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez announced that she was going on tour, “The Trilogy Tour.” It will run through May to June 2024, but the locations aren’t finalized. Known for her unique style and conceptual storytelling in her music, Martinez’s fans can expect a thrilling experience at the concerts.

“I’m excited about her new tour, her music literally changed my life, especially in the summer of Covid,” sophomore Lucas Jimenez said.

Martinez made a big comeback during the Covid era, her distinctive ability to address sensitive topics such as mental health, sexuality, and societal issues through her music drew people into her music. The tour’s setlist is yet to be finalized but will definitely include the full ‘Portals” album and a few of her popular songs from older albums.

Martinez will be joined by three special guests Men I Trust, Beach Bunny, and Sofia Iselia. You can expect the wardrobe to most likely reciprocate that from her Portals Tour although with twists and throwbacks to previous albums such as “Crybaby” and “K-12.”

Melanie gained traction after her performance in “The Voice ” which helped jump start her music career.” Her debut album, “Cry Baby” (2015), was a conceptual masterpiece that garnered both critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. The accompanying film, which incorporated her music videos, added a unique dimension to her storytelling.

While her style may not appeal to everyone, Martinez’s influence is undeniable, as she encourages discussions on societal taboos. Her commitment to artistic expression and the narrative within her music videos has helped redefine the boundaries of pop music. As an artist, Melanie Martinez has left an indelible mark on the music industry by challenging norms and embracing a darker, more introspective approach to her craft.
