Boys Golf aims to make history
As the boys golf season comes to a close, the Vikings looked to win their second conference match September 15. They had one win over Maine East and just needed one more to have the best record in 19 years.
Their first chance came against Maine East but they fell too short. Since it was a close match coming down to the last score, Maine East came out on top by one stroke winning 163 to 164. Later on the 15th the Vikings would face Vernon Hills but would go on to lose by 22 strokes.
Finally, on Sept. 15, the Vikings played their last conference match against Deerfield. Unfortunately, the Vikings couldn’t get the job done and ended the season with one conference win.
However, September 19 is the start of the postseason as your Vikings gear up for the conference and regional tournaments.
