When asked how excited he was for the upcoming season, head varsity volleyball coach Andre Shaw said, “I am looking forward to this upcoming season. Although we graduated 11 seniors last year, we have a solid nucleus coming back who put in a ton of time in the offseason working on their individual craft. The coaching staff is excited to challenge student-athletes and work with them to compete for a conference title.”

Shaw has some plans for the 2022 season.

Adopt the growth mindset and improve daily. Generate more wins than losses,” Shaw said.  “Compete for the CSL North title, make a run in the regional playoffs. Frustrate other teams through a scrappy tough mindset.”

For the people that are interested or are trying out for volleyball, Shaw has some advice.

“Athletes interested in competing in the program should be prepared to be challenged daily,” Shaw said. “Commit to attending practices six days a week. Lastly, be able to handle adversity.”
