Day of the Dead celebrated by LatinX
On November 1, LatinX club held an event open to the community celebrating The Day of the Dead.
Alejandra Arteaga, one of the LatinX club sponsors, marked the importance of hosting the event by saying “LatinX Night is an event that celebrates our heritage. The members of the club have a variety of backgrounds from Latin America. I believe it’s important for the LatinX students to have at least one night to shine.”
Arteaga continued by saying “We remembered our loved ones with personal altars, food, music and dancing.”
LatinX club holds a LatinX Heritage Celebration that is open to community every year. Keep an eye out for the next celebration, which will be next year.
