This past friday, the Niles North Varsity football team limped into the Maine South football field with a four-game losing streak and hopes of bringing home a “W”. During the intense, nail biter of a game, the vikings unfortunately fell short to the hawks of Maine South.
The Vikings very own Jordan Labelle was, as always, a prominent leader on the team during the game, leading in the footsteps of Iowa commit, Barrington Wade Jr.
Even though the vikings fell short to the hawks, the vikings played an outstanding game. They worked hard and their team chemistry proved that this loss is an other opportunity to stand up and fight back.
“It was a hard game…we expected to shock people but unfortunately we fell short.” says Tyson Coles, Junior.
The next heated football game of the season will be a home game this Friday at 7 PM against New Trier. The theme is camouflage so deck out in your camo and support the boys as they hopefully bring home a serious win.
