Pop and fashion icon, Prince, died on Tuesday April 21, 2016. The artist died from, currently, unknown causes in his home at the age of 57.
Prince Roger Nelson, who went by simply “Prince” on stage, was an artist that started his career in 1978 with his album “For You” in which he supposedly place all 27 instruments of the record. “For You” would be the first of a final total of 29 studio albums, including “HITnRUN Phase One” and “HITnRUN Phase Two” which were just released last year.
Nelson is even on top best-selling artist of all time, seeing that he was sold over 100 million albums. Other accomplishments included his induction into The Rock ‘N Roll Hall Of Fame in 2014, winning seven Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.
Besides his many achievements in the world of music, he is almost know as much for his style and sexuality as he was for his albums.
Many stars have taken to social media to express their intense grief. “I’m Crushed!! UK news reporting Prince Is Dead?! For Real?! Massive Loss for us all! What a Genius! Speechless.” Says Pulp Fiction and Avengers star Samuel L. Jackson.
Nelson’s music, style, and impact will transcend generations as we have already seen since the late 70’s. A true star has passed on.
