Niles North is offering a free ACT for all juniors on Tuesday, April 19 at 8:10 a.m. and the IACT for sophomores. The school day will end at 1 p.m. for sophomores and juniors, while freshmen and seniors do not have to attend school on Tuesday. Buses will depart from school at 1:15 p.m.
The ACT is a standardized test that is one of the two tests students have the choice between taking (the other being the SAT) when applying to college. Most Illinois students choose to take the ACT, and it normally costs money however the state test taking place on April 19 will be free of cost for all students at Niles North.
Monday, April 18, will also be a late start day. The schedule can be found here.
For more information on the upcoming ACT or studying tools for the test itself, speak with your counselor or refer to the packets from the previous junior meeting. Good luck on the ACT!
