After the big A reveal this August, Pretty Little Liars (PLL) snuffed expectations for its beloved fans, but producer I Marlene King promises fans for a better and scarier new season. Yeah Marlene, we all heard you say those words MANY TIMES!
BE AWARE THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILER BELOW!
Pretty Little Liars is a show about four girls, Spencer, Aria, Hannah, and Emily who receive anonamous texts from someone named ‘A’ and threatens to expose their deepest darkest secrets. This all centers around their leader, Alison DiLaurentis who ‘A’ hates and ‘A’ wants her dead. Allison was allegdley “killed”, but after ‘A’s failed attempt, Allison is alive and hiding from ‘A’. As the season progresses, ‘A’ continues to torture Alison and her friends.
After a long five years, the season six finale revealed the identity of ‘A’, who was Charlotte Dilaurentis (CeCe Drake), Alison’s older sister, who was put into an asylum at young age because of her sexual orientation. Charlotte explains to her sister that she never meant to “kill” her and that she want to be close to her family and that’s why she was ‘A’.
“I was so ANGRY that CeCe was ‘A’ because she barley was in the show and like I waited my five years for this! PLL could have done so so much better with this reveal,” Sara Zengoska, senior, said.
“They honestly could have done a better job with the A reveal. I feel like the finale was rushed and that CeCe being ‘A’ was a joke,” Sumerah Khatoon, senior, said.
This reveal disappointed many fans because a lot were hoping it to be someone they were close to. Marlene King promised fans that season 6B will bring new twists and turns and a new big bad is on the way. With the ‘A’ story put to rest, Marlene King tells fans that this season will be a time jump of five years. Here’s what you can expect this season.
- The liars have graduated college and comeback to Rosewood to help Alison
- There is a new A
- Alison is a teacher
- There will be a new intro which will include Allison
- Hannah is engaged
- This season will also reveal who the new big bad is
“I hope season 6B really does a good job because I was not happy with CeCe being A or how much time the show wasted. I hope we get more answers this season because PLL still hasn’t answered many questions,” Kristine Phommaviseth said.
Hopefully this new season brings more adventures and twists that fans can actually say WOAH!!! NO WAY. Pretty Little Liars is set to return January 12, 2015 on FreeForm. Stay tuned for more information and watch out cause I know what you are doing. Kisses -A.
