Tyra Banks is notorious for always being on top. Her first introduction to the fashion industry came at 16 years old when she began modeling for Elite Model Management. She then booked 25 shows at Paris Fashion Week in 1991, and throughout the decade would be dubbed one of the first “supermodels” alongside models like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Kate Moss. Since her start almost thirty years ago, she has continuously made history such as becoming the first African American women to appear on the cover of GQ and Sports Illustrated. Recently, she has ventured into avenues like film, television, and technology. Banks has been involved in the start up of multiple entertainment programs including America’s Next Top Model, Clique, and The Tyra Banks Show. Her latest endeavor is a talk show entitled FABLife.
FABLife, an acronym for “Fun and Beautiful”, is a round table lineup talk show must similar to The View and The Talk. It consists of food writer/ model Chrissy Teigen, celebrity stylist Joe Zee, do-it-yourself Youtuber Leah Ashley, and interior designer Lauren Makk. The program offers a wide range of topics from makeovers, celebrity gossip, do-it-yourself tips, and audience stories.
“I’ve been a fan of Tyra Banks since her days as the host of America’s Next Top Model. I hope the show has great success because she is simply a creative genius” Merab Kaleem, senior, said.
FABLife premiered on ABC on September 14 2015 through Disney-ABC Domestic Television and Tyra Banks’s production company, Bankable Productions.
“FABLife is an incredible show. It’s not the standard talk show in the sense that it promotes positivity, confidence, and women empowerment. . It’s very interactive with the audience and has helpful tips with cooking, fashion, and beauty” Hadeel Faoud, senior, said.
Since Banks is always on top of her game, we are sure she just found America’s next top talk show.
