In an intense, nail biter of a game, the Varsity Boys Volleyball team fell to the visiting Niles West Wolves in 3 sets.
For a casual volleyball fan, this game was one of the best in recent memory and all one could have hoped for. The first set was was back and forth right until the end, where the Wolves prevailed with a 27-25 victory.
In the second set, after being down 21-18 and the morale seemingly low, the Vikings went on an astonishing run, not allowing another score from Niles West. They wrapped up the set 25-21.
The Wolves found themselves in a tough spot being down 24-22 in the final set. Eventually they found themselves at match point against the Vikings. After the longest volley of the game, Niles North ultimately fell to the Wolves in the third set which sealed the victory for the Wolves.
Catch them in action at their next home game, April 13 against Deerfield.
