President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama’s love story is hitting the screen.
The Obamas will star in their own biopic film called Southside With You. The film will be directed by Richard Tanne and produced by Stephanie Allain’s Homegrown Pictures.
Southside With You starts with Barack’s first date with Michelle in 1989. The movie continues on through their love story up until present day.
The shooting of Southside With You will begin July 2015 in Hyde Park in Chicago, Illinois.
It has been reported that Tika Sumpter, a recurring character on CW’s Gossip Girl (Raina Thorpe), will be playing young Michelle. Casting for the character of young Barack is still undergo.
Personally, I am really excited to see this movie because it will be interesting to see how they met eachother and what things followed.
The expected release date for Southside With You is July 2016.
