Get ready Toy Story fans, John Lasseter is bringing Toy Story 4.
What could possibly happen next?
Lesseter, who directed the hit franchise back in 1995, will be directing the fourth installment. Rashida Jones, famous actress, most notably from Parks and Recreation, will write the script.
Tim Allen, who plays Buzz Lightyear and Tom Hanks, who plays Woody, have been confirmed to lend their voices once again to the show.
Lesseter says that Toy Story 4 will be a love story and pick up right where Toy Story 3 left off.
“A lot of people in the industry view us doing sequels as being for the business of it, but for us, it’s pure passion,” said Lasseter. “We only make sequels when we have a story that’s as good as or better than the original. We don’t just, because of the success of a film, automatically say we’re going to do a sequel and then figure out what we’re going to do.”

“I was jumping up and down my bed when I first found out that they’re making another movie. I grew up watching Toy Story and having a fourth one is just amazing,” Midah Waheed, freshman, said.
“I’m really looking forward to Toy Story 4 because growing up, I always enjoyed watching the Toy Story movies and knowing that there’s another Toy Story adventure makes me feel like my childhood is revived,” junior Jazmyn Trinos said. “I really loved Jessie and I am really excited to see her again.”
“I was dying hearing the news that Toy Story 4 was coming out, and it being a love story is just the cutest thing ever and I’m just so excited to see it once again,” Violette Shearer, junior, said.
“I’m excited! I grew up with Toy Story! I can’t wait to see what it becomes,” junior Oren Donino said. “Who knows, maybe a love story will be better for the saga.”
Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 16, 2017.
