New day, new market competitor. This time, it is going to be Panasonic. As the smartphone market expands and becomes part of our daily life, Panasonic has arrived as an active competitor.
On Sept. 15, Panasonic announced its new CM1 smartphone. The CM1 will have a huge advantage with its 4k camera. Yes, you can shoot 4k videos with your phone! Other specs will be similar to the Galaxy S5.
The CM1 will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat and will use LTE networks. As many other Android smartphones, it will have 16 GB of internal memory, 2 GB of memory (RAM), and an expandable 128 GB microSD slot. It also has 2.3 GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor with support to Panasonic’s Venus Engine image processor. The camera itself has a 1-inch, 20-megapixel sensor.
It has not yet been reported that the CM1 will have a 4k LCD screen. However, it will have a 4.7-inch 1980 x 1080 pixel touch screen.
The product was unveiled during the Photokina show, saying that the price will be $1,170.
