Every year a student is selected for a specific departmental award. This year’s AS&T Departmental Award goes to Faruk Muftic. The AS&T Departmental Award is awarded to a student who brings effort and support to the table, along with showing great leadership.
After talking to Faruk Muftic and how it feels to win the AS&T Departmental Award, he responded, “It feels amazing. Words cannot explain my happiness.”
Faruk Muftic has been an outstanding student and asset to the robotics club here at Niles North. The robotics club has made it to World VeX Robotics competition this year and placed high in the State and National VeX Robotics competition.
