We boarded our Southwest flight on Jan. 17 at 6 am. Our eyes were tired, yet contained a twinkle of excitement to come. We took on Magic Kingdom immediately after landing, exploring 50-foot drops at Tiana’s Bayou, Dole Whip, and even a hidden treehouse.
On Jan. 18 we woke up bright and early for a clinic in which the North and West choirs sang and received feedback on songs. After our clinic, we embarked on the mission of Hollywood Studios, exploring the Tower of Terror, Toy Story Land, The Rise of the Resistance, and Mac & Cheese.
Jan. 19 was Epcot day! Before Epcot, though, we had a very special workshop. With the help of professional singers, fancy equipment, and stellar sight-reading skills, Niles North and West voiced over a section of a Disney movie, creating our own sound effects, harmonies, and dialogue. At Epcot, we explored several countries across the world. We loved the boba in China and the tacos in Mexico, and all we had to do was walk a few steps to get right back to America! In America, we saw “The Voices of Liberty” perform, a professional acapella group at Epcot.
The trip was exciting and fun, filled with food, friendship, and of course, plenty of Mickey Mouse to go around!
