‘Imaginary’ lacked the imagination

Imaginary came out Mar. 8th, 2024. The movie is about a girl named Jessica who moves back to her childhood home with her family and her daughter finds a stuffed animal. After that, everything changed for the worse.

Imaginary has good jumpscares that keep you interested in the movie and a plot twist that you don’t see coming. The plot twists keep you confused and wanting to know what will happen next.

Even though the movie has good jumpscares and interesting plot twists, it wasn’t the best movie. After hearing tons of ads about this movie and seeing how much it was being promoted I was very excited, but once I watched it was pretty disappointing.

The whole plot of this movie is just a possessed teddy bear that wants to take control of a little girl. If the teddy bear did a lot more things and lived up to the role of ‘Imaginary’ it would’ve been a great movie. The movie is called Imaginary and would think that the movie would produce all the things you could imagine into the movie but the producers missed the chance to add more imagination to the movie.

After seeing how promoted this movie was Eddie Cho didn’t expect how the movie turned out.

“I was expecting a lot more to the movie as it’s titled Imaginary and there could have been an end of possibilities added to the movie to make it one of the best horror movies this year, but it wasn’t that scary, the only scary thing about it were the jumpscares. I just felt like it could have been better and things could have been added to make it better” Senior Eddie Cho says.

The Imaginary movie was a decent movie that missed the opportunity to be one of the best. Adding more horror and bettering the acting would have been the way to make the movie the best it could have been.
