Lety Martin, Freshman

What is your name and year? I’m Lety Martin, and I’m a freshman

What is your favorite movie and why? I don’t know what my favorite movie is but the ones that I’ve liked a lot are the Creed movies.

Do you have any pets? What are their names? I have a dog, he’s still a little puppy and his name is Pluto.

What is something on your bucket list? Something on my bucket list is to try and travel to as many places as I can. I’d like to travel to many different countries as well as continents.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I think if I could live anywhere it would be somewhere in Europe. I’d live there because I’ve heard that it’s really nice there and it’s peaceful. It’s also a beautiful country.

Who do you look up to? I look up to a lot of people in my life but I think I really look up to my siblings. They’ve always been role models for me, and I look up to them in hopes I can accomplish as much as they have.

What is something you’re passionate about? I’m really passionate about playing sports. I’ve been playing sports for the majority of my life and I’ve always enjoyed playing them. I always try to push myself to do my best when playing.

How long have you been playing basketball and softball? I’ve been playing basketball since I was about 5. I used to play in a little league when I was younger and have continued playing basketball since then. I’ve only been playing softball for about 4 1/2 years. However I played baseball from when I was 6 until about the beginning of 5th grade, which is when I made the switch to playing softball instead.

What is your position in basketball & softball? This year playing for basketball I was the point guard, and for softball I played right field.

Which sport do you prefer to play more, basketball or softball, and why? I prefer playing basketball rather than softball. I think I prefer basketball more than softball because I’ve just always been more involved with it. It was basically the first sport I learned how to play and I’ve just stuck with it since. I feel like playing basketball has always been a lot of fun for me, and I think it’ll always be my favorite sport.
