Ksy Glock’s newest album: Glockoma 2

Though he released a Deluxe to his Yellow Tape 2 album fans were still looking for something. Then on February 24 of 2023 Key Glock unlocked a new level on his newest album Glockoma 2. The 15 track album offers truthfully a lot of the same consistency that Key Glock has had and really lacks a sort of diversity that other albums offer.

There are no features on the album and though it shows Key’s confidence in his sound and audience it makes for a lost opportunity in capitalizing off of other artists’ fans to grow his fanbase. The album really offered nothing that was outstanding though Key Glock has a hard delivery that really punches at the end of a bar his overall flow and sound compared to his other music it just sounds the same.

A lot of the tracks sounded the same, it was really just a matter of whatever beat or bar sounded the best Though there was a lack of sound diversity the album was actually well produced and mixed in how each beat sounded and how Key Glock maintained a well rounded and crisp vocal sound. Another positive about the album is though there are no features Key uses that to push his own sound on every track not having to adapt to the people that he brings along.

This also speaks to the commonly brought up theme of getting it on his own with no one really around to help him. This could also be due to the fact that his close friend and mentor figure in the game Young Dolph had been shot and killed almost a year prior, this left Key in an odd place as even though he and his fans were affected Key took it as motivation to go and push his boundaries. Though many speculated that Key would drop sooner, however they’d have to wait a while as it seemed like Key would be taking some serious time off. This would leave room for this album to be a clean slate and or a bookmark of where Key left off in terms of his sound and comfort zone.

It really seems that Key chose to stick to his guns and traditional Florida sound in his return to music. All in all it looks like Key Glock is back and is here to stay.
