Your reactions to Super Bowl LVI

Super Bowl LVI in SoFi Stadium is officially in the record books. The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 on Sunday, February 18 to win their first Lombardi Trophy since 2000 and become the second team in NFL history to win the Super Bowl on their home turf. Outside the game itself, the Pepsi Halftime Show featured several popular rap artists, including Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent. And let’s not forget all the commercials! North Star News gathered your opinions regarding the historic events of the latest Super Bowl:

What was your favorite highlight from the game?

“The second quarter overall was very intense, and it really seemed like the Bengals had the game in the bag, and everyone rooting for the Rams including myself were definitely a little nervous after that.”

“Ja’Marr Chase’s 1 handed grab”

“When the Los Angeles Rams WON!”

“Matthew Stafford no look pass to Cooper Kupp”

“Halftime Show and seeing Joe Shiesty”

“It was a close game and I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially during the first quarter when Odell Beckham Jr. scored his first touchdown.”

“The last 4 minutes when it was such a close game.”

“Jalen Ramsey getting face masked and the refs not calling it”

“The opening drive to the second half, where the Bengals got the deep touchdown. I’m not a fan of either team, so I didn’t really care who won.”

“Cooper Kupp getting the game winning touchdown”

What was your favorite highlight from the Halftime Show?

“It was a lively performance from all the artists but what left a mark on me is when Eninem took a knee after his performance as once San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick did as an act of protest against police brutality and racial inequity in America (all around the world).”

“Snoop Dogg’s and Dr Dre’s performances in the half time show were the best, the way Dr Dre hyped everyone up in the beginning and his introducing of Snoop Dogg complemented Snoop’s perfect choice of a first song really well.”

“Snoop Dogg”

“All the artists at the end when they were all singing together.”

“Eminem singing Lose Yourself”

“The whole thing, I loved all the artists so seeing them perform made me happy.”

“The set design was awesome.”

“Still Dre at the end of the show”

“The part when Kendrick Lamar came out some boxes and 50 Cent was upside down.”
