With Easter and Passover rolling around, some time off is due. Here are some fun things to do during Spring Break.

For Easter, it’s always fun to color some eggs pastel colors. Here’s how to do that.

  1. Buy egg coloring from the store.
  2. Boil as many eggs as you want to color.
  3. Take containers and fill them with hot water, egg dye, and vinegar.
  4. Leave eggs to soak in the colored water for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Take eggs out and leave to dry.
  6. Dab eggs slightly with some oil for a nice shine.
  7. Leave in the fridge for 4-6 hours to rest.

Because it’s Spring Break, there are always fun things to do outside. If you have the chance maybe go on a bike ride, or enjoy the fresh air by going on a walk. One thing I love to make when it is warm out is a fresh loaf of bread. Here’s a recipe:

3 cups flour

2 tsp yeast

1 tsp sugar

1 ½ tsp salt

3 tbsp butter

½ cup and then 1 ½ cups water

  1. Combine flour, sugar,  salt, and 3 tbsp. Butter in a mixer.
  2. On the side mix 2 tsp of yeast and ½ cup of warm water together and leave for 5 minutes or until yeast rises
  3. Take yeast and 1 ½ cup of water and mix in with the flour, salt, butter, and sugar in mixer, use hook attachment and mix on high until it makes a dough that does not stick to your fingers, add flour or water if needed.
  4. Next, take the dough and leave to rise for 1 hour.
  5. Take the risen dough and kneed it with your hands until all air bubbles are out of the dough.
  6. After that put in the oven on a bread pan for 1 hour, at 350 degrees.
